Five Day’s of Adoration: A Poem–“This One”

This One

Who is this One , elusive

HIdden in the hills

Whose presence drifts upon the wind

When all the earth is still?

Who is this One–so close

Yet whom my eyes have never seen?

The only Lover of my soul–

Both Savior and a King.

Who is this One who touches

Every fiber of my life

And in His arms who carries me

From height, to height, to height?

He is a champion–strong and true

My Bridegroom and my song

Who stands majestic over all

Creation’s might throng!

Elizabeth Hiett. June 1999.
